This piece combines bobbin lace and needlepoint lace. The floral and arabesque motifs in the central triangular section are connected in needlepoint lace. The edging is Punto in Aria needlepoint lace with bobbin lace woven in.

This piece has needle-tail appliqué on machine-knit tulle. Flowering branch sections are bobbin lace; the basket and ribbon bow are Point de Gaze. Bouquet motifs were preferred compositions in this era.
